Hello there. Thanks for visiting my page. My name is Stacey and I am a traveller at heart. By day I am a writer and event planner and in my heart am a traveller, a dreamer, a camper, a beach lover, a scrapbooker, and someone who works to live as opposed to living to work. For over twenty years I’ve been traveling on adventures every chance I get and have been privileged to see many beautiful places and live in a few of them. My travels have taken me to over 58 countries on 6 continents and a stint living in Melbourne, Australia.

In December of 2005 I went on a spur of the moment 8 day Contiki trip to New Zealand where I met an adorable Aussie who would later become my husband. After a first date in Hong Kong, an international courtship developed that spanned hemispheres and continents for 4 years and resulted in a New York beach wedding in the summer of 2009. Just two short weeks after we tied the knot with family and friends from around the globe, we set off on an around the world honeymoon that took us to 21 countries in just under a year. I took a leave of absence from school, we applied for a green card and journeyed on an adventure that changed both of our lives. Continent hopping, living in Australia and meeting amazing people gave us incredible perspective and only sought to enhance our love of travel and desire to continue to have those heart warming experiences all around the globe.

Since that fateful one-year honeymoon we’ve lived and worked in New York, traveled around the world a few more times, road tripped the US twice (northern and southern routes), moved to the west coast and changed careeer focus.

During that life-altering year I kept a travel journal of our accounts every day and blogged to keep friends and family in the loop. I fell in love with the writing and sharing our experiences and like so many others out there would like to have those blogs and thoughts take me further in the world. I enrolled in a travel writing course upon our return and am finding the courage to get back into writing and share our unbelievable year and extended travels. If you’re interested, I’d love to share that journey with you.

Presently in San Diego, California

    • Hi Anisha- Thanks for reading and for your kind words. I just took a look at your blog and the photos are wonderful. Your posts are great and seem to really come from your experience and joy of education and learning. Looking forward to reading more. Thanks for visiting. Cheers, Stacey

  2. Hi Stacey, I recently read your “Lessons from Camp We Use Everyday” article in the Bergen-Rockland magazine by NY Metro Parents. I am an overnight camp director and always appreciate when others put into words what we try to get across on a daily basis to our current camp families as well as our potential new camp families. I would like to share your article with these groups, but cannot find it on nymetroparents.com or on your site. Is it possible to be sent a link for it? Thank you for getting it, articulating it so well and contributing to creating more “CAMP PEOPLE”.

    • Thanks, Joe. I appreciate the kind words and that you reached out. Working on getting the link to the printed article and will share as soon as I get it. I’m thrilled that you liked the article and am very proud to be a ‘camp person’ and share my love of camp every chance I get. Be well and thanks! Cheers, Stacey
